Weekly Torah Portion

What is Torah? If we are honest we will realize that it is more than the 5 books or even the whole Tanakh, (O.T.) as the word means Instruction, or teaching. Torah is the Instruction from God Almighty to all who would serve and worship ONLY him. All of His word is instruction for US! (2 Tim. 3:16) Torah is the foundation of Life. Torah gives light to the path of all, to the Jew and the gentile. It has been given for ALL Israel, and those who would join themselves to Israel in Messiah!

(Deuteronomy 6:4-9) Sh'ma, Yisra'el! יהוה Eloheinu, יהוה Echad [Hear, Isra'el! יהוה our God, יהוה is one]; and you are to love יהוה your God with all your heart, all your being, and all your resources. These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them on your hand as a sign, put them at the front of a headband around your forehead, and write them on the door-frames of your house and on your gates.

The Father reveals himself to us in his word, a Just and merciful Father his Torah is itself mercy and grace from him. The Words of God are holy! The Word is eternal!
